Northern Iloilo State University (NISU), led by University President Dr. Raffy B. Chavez, together with Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Gilda E. Deguma, Dr. Veminrose Clariza-Samuel, Campus Administrator of NISU in Estancia, Dr. Glaiza Alerta, Campus Administrator of NISU in Concepcion, Dr. Leovigildo Rey Alaban, Dean of the College of Fisheries and Allied Sciences, Dr. Donabel Palermo and Dr. Cheryl Jela, Program Chairs of the Fisheries Department, Dr. Raul Deguma, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Engr. Crispaul Armeje, Program Chair of the Civil Engineering Department, recognized the successful examinees of the October 2026 Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination (FPLE) from the Main and Concepcion campuses and the September 2026 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE) during a recognition program at the NISU Main Campus Mini Theatre on October 16.

 

The university officials and academic leaders were among those behind the examinees’ success, providing the leadership, guidance, and support that helped prepare them for their respective licensure examinations.

 

 

The successful examinees also received ₱5,000 each from the office of Congresswoman Binky April Tupas. Meanwhile, FPLE topnotchers Gerson C. Berano (Rank 1), Regie V. Pancho (Rank 7), and Aleanna Marie G. Pancho (Rank 9) received additional incentives of ₱30,000 and ₱20,000 each, respectively, from her office.

Berano also received additional ₱10,000 each from Board Member Hon. Nielito “Doc Daryl” Tupas and former Congressman Raul “Boboy” Tupas, bringing his total cash incentives to ₱50,000.
