Goals of the Institute of Information and Computer Studies
The IICS endeavors to:
- train students to become computer professionals knowledgeable and competent in meeting the growing demand for software developers and IT persons in government, business, industry and education;
- harness and undertake relevant ICT researches to provide valuable services and to share expertise and facilities with various stakeholders on the transfer and promotion of information and communications technology for local, regional and national benefit; and
- inculcate in its students positive Filipino values and attitudes as well as the value of independent and life-long learning.
Program Objectives for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
At the completion of the program, the graduates should have:
- acquired computing concepts and theories, algorithmic foundations and new developments in computing to design and develop software solutions;
- equipped with adequate preparations, practicum programs, field exposures and related learning experiences to meet future needs in the field of computing;
- engaged in research and collaborative work with the industry to ensure the practical application of computing technologies;
- imparted technology transfer through extension activities in the hope that it will improve the lives of the community it serves;
- developed teamwork and interpersonal skills, social responsibilities and participation to local, regional and nation building.

- equipped with adequate preparations, practicum programs, field exposures and related learning experiences to meet future needs in the field of computing;

- imparted technology transfer through extension activities in the hope that it will improve the lives of the community it serves;
- developed teamwork and interpersonal skills, social responsibilities and participation to local, regional and nation building.
