VISION
To help improve the quality of life of the people in its service areas through effective implementation of quality extension services and programs that are consistent with the national goal of providing education for all (EFA), values formation in the communities, coping mechanism for environmental protection, and doable means to transcend poverty.
MISSION
The extension services of the university are geared towards the development and implementation of innovative and situation-based quality extension programs through continuing education, skill-based and livelihood training programs among its clienteles.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
- Organize, strengthen and empower communities through training, seminar, and capability-building programs for sustainable
- Ensure a unified extension effort in the implementation of extension programs within the university whereby colleges/ departments, campuses, and offices can converge together and implement their projects and activities in line with their curricular program and offer services based on the expertise of their
- Establish and develop collaborative partnership efforts with local, national, and international agencies for building significant financial assistance vital to the implementation of its programs and in the delivery of its
- Undertake projects and activities that will develop people's empowerment and responsibility towards environmental protection and
- Coordinate with various colleges, units/departments, offices, and other campuses of the University related to extension plans and their
- Work closely to with the research unit, colleges/departments, other offices, and campuses in the utilization of research outputs necessary in the design of extension programs/projects that support the vision and mission of the
- Translate/diffuse research results/outputs in extension programs and activities which will provide knowledge and skills to families and communities for sustainable
- Implement the government’s program thrust in food production, health education, nutrition, environmental protection that concerns out-of-school youths and
- Conduct seminars and skills training in fisheries, agriculture, technology, trade, and technical courses for family and community’s life
- Provide linkages with other government agencies and NGOs for their thrust programs and technology dissemination and
- Provide services and expertise for technology transfer to the community thereby increasing the number of adopters among
- Establish viable demonstration projects based on the analysis of cost and return investment by beneficiaries to achieve
- Conduct In-House- Review for designing and facilitating extension programs, projects, and activities in line with curricular programs/field of specializations offered in the
- Disseminate extension outputs through the office of extension services in coordination with the colleges/departments, campuses, other offices or units in a journal and newsletter and other platforms.
