NISU collaborates with FilPas and SeeMeSol; Expanding digital transformation and career opportunities for graduates
Northern Iloilo State University partners with FilPas and SeeMeSol in a significant Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, held on November 11, 2024, as part of its commitment to shape the future of educational excellence and innovation.
The said collaboration aims to harness the expertise of both parties in delivering cutting-edge technologies, fostering student and alumni development, and supporting the digital transformation of our educational programs.
In an interview with FilPas Senior Advisor for Corporate Strategy Ryan So, he emphasized the importance of providing instantly verified documents to both graduates and alumni, helping them secure jobs faster with confirmed credentials.
“I think that Northern Iloilo State University has really taken the important step to be the first state university to embark on this journey with FilPas. With the foresight of President Bobby, it’s really about initiating the document issuance and having your documents validated immediately. Ultimately, future graduates and alumni can easily access FilPas-issued documents, which are instantly validated. In short, graduates can get hired faster and, of course, with valid credentials,” said So.
Meanwhile, Management Information System Director, Anrem J. Balontong said that the joint effort will propel the college in the international scene.
“This initiative highlights international collaboration, which means that we go not just locally or nationally, but we engage in the international scene. We will be bringing the standard of FilPas going to Northern Iloilo State University. For SeeMeSol, their system will be integrated into the university. Whenever users update their job skills or explore new opportunities, the system will automatically suggest companies that are hiring - this is actually the main focus of this MOA signing,” Balontong added.
University President Dr. Bobby Gerardo expressed his sincere gratitude to the two service providers for their partnership, emphasizing that the integration of FilPas and SeeMeSol’s systems would enhance the university's digital capabilities and significantly expand job opportunities for future graduates.
Also present during the program were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Gilda Deguma, Director for Communication and International Collaboration Dr. Fernan Tupas, Director for Alumni Affairs Dr. Noli Ballaraa, the college deans, and Legal Officer Atty. Niezel Sabrido.
This significant milestone underscores the university’s ongoing commitment to enriching educational innovation and digital integration.
