1948
Establishment of Ajuy Junior High School with Mr. Jose Zerrudo as the principal.
1952
The renaming of the School to Ajuy High School with the first graduates 6 males and 23 females.
The first concrete building was constructed through the efforts of Mayor Pedro Molina.
The first graduation was held with 29 graduates, 6 males and 23 Females.
1954
Mr. Vicente Cornelio became principal.
1959
Miss Maruja Dignadice became teacher-in-charge.
1960
Mr. Agapito Declarador became principal.
1970
Mrs. Estrella Denila became principal.
1972
Mr. Carlos Causing became officer-in-charge.
1973
The school was the Division winner in the Green Revolution program and celebrated its Silver Anniversary (25th Founding Anniversary) with Miss Rosario Aycayno as the principal.
1975
The school attained its nationalized status by Virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1250 s. 1975 through the efforts of Director Napoleon Dignadice with Mrs. Teresa Tobias as the principal.
1980
Miss Corazon de la Torre became Officer-in-Charge.
1982
The name of the school echoed in the Region when the folk dancers of the school were declared champions with Mrs. Otilia Parian as the principal.
1984
Miss Concepcion Po became principal.
1985
Eric Ayuyon was adjudged as one of the ten outstanding Secondary School Students of Iloilo.
1988
Ajuy National High School celebrated its Ruby Anniversary (40th Founding Anniversary).
1990
Miss Corazon Batayo became the OIC.
1991
Mr. Vicente Bierniza served as OIC before Mrs. Bibiana de los Reyes took over as the principal.
1993
The school was adjudged as one of the most effective secondary schools in the Division of Iloilo with Mr. Cirilo C. Deocariza as the principal.
1995
Ajuy National High School was converted into Ajuy Polytechnic College through Republic Act No. 8005, approved on May 7, under the initiative of Congressman Niel D. Tupas Sr. Following its conversion, the newly established college applied to and was granted permission by the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (DECS) to offer a Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation and Services (FBPS) and the Certificate in Welding Fabrication Technology, effective in the school year 1996-1997.
1996
In line with its new mandate, tertiary education was established, with Mr. Cirilo C. Deocariza initially serving as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Superintendent, designated by CHED Chairman Angel Alcala. He was later reclassified as College Administrator.
1997
New courses in Diploma in Computer Programming and Computer Secretarial were offered.
1998
The first College Graduation was held with 38 graduates in HRM and 4 in Welding Fabrication Technology.
 
Bearing its new name, Ajuy Polytechnic College celebrated its Golden Jubilee (50th Founding Anniversary).
 
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Entrepreneurship was offered by virtue of CHED Order Number 56 series of 1998.
1999
The Bachelor of Secondary Education with specialization in General Science, English, and Mathematics was offered through CHED Order Number 12 series of 1999.
 
Mrs. Magelia P. Cubar was appointed OIC by the CHEd.
 
CHED Memorandum Order Number 27, series of 1999 led to the integration of Ajuy Polytechnic College (APC) to Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) in Estancia, Iloilo.
2001
The integration was confirmed by the NIPSC Board of Trustees (BOT) per BOT Resolution Number 33-73-2000 and became an external campus to be known as Ajuy Polytechnic College - NIPSC Ajuy Campus effective January 1, 2001 with Dr. Wenceslao S. Sison Jr. as the College President with Dr. Magelia Pendon Cubar as the OIC College Administrator.
2004
The Associate in Computer Technology was offered by virtue of BOT Resolution Number 38-39-2004.
2006
The Bachelor of Science in Criminology was offered by virtue of BOT Resolution Number 12, with Mrs. Magelia Cubar as the OIC College Administrator, making the Bachelor of Science in Criminology as the flagship program.
2007
Dr. Benny A. Palma, PASUC VI President was appointed OIC College President.
2008
Dr. Joel P. Limson was elected and installed as the 3rd College President.
2009
The Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management was changed to Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management by virtue of BOT Resolution Number 37 series of 2009.
 
The Bachelor of Elementary Education was offered through BOT Resolution Number 38.
2010
The renaming of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) to Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrepreneurship) by virtue of BOT Resolution Number 5 series of 2010.
 
The BS Entrepreneurship and BS Criminology undergo Preliminary Survey Visit.
 
Dr. Cirilo C. Deocariza was reinstated as College Administrator.
2012
The BS Entrepreneurship and BS Criminology attained its Candidate Status in the Program Accreditation of AACCUP.
2013
The signing of the Republic Act Number 10597 converting Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) to Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) on June 14 through the efforts of Congressman Niel “Junjun” C. Tupas Jr.
 
Roseller Salaver Montaniel was the 7th placer in the 2013 Criminologist Licensure Examination.
 
The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science undergo Preliminary Survey Visit.
2014
Dr. Romy A. Billones, the Vice President for Research and Extension  was appointed OIC President.
2015
The academic programs received their respective Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) issued by the Commission on Higher Education, COPC 61 (BS Entrep), COPC # 79 (BSHRM), COPC # 87 (BEEd), and COPC # 88 (BSEd).
 
The BS Entrep and BS Criminology undergo 2nd Survey Visit.
The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and BSEd majors in English, Mathematics, and Science undergo 1st Survey Visit.
 
The BEEd undergoes a Preliminary Survey Visit.
2016
Dr. Ma. Theresa Gasapo Palmares, was elected and installed as the 4th College President.
2017
Dr. Wilfreda G. Arones was installed as the 1st Campus Administrator.
 
Implementation of Remodeled NIPSC Organizational Structure through BOT Resolution No. 67, s. 2017.
 
NISU Ajuy underwent a Surveillance Audit of NIPSC Quality Management System and was certified as compliant with the provision of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 by the Global Certification.
2018
Implemented the new curriculum in accordance with the latest Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSGs) for NISU Ajuy's curricular program, as approved by the Board of Trustees (BOT) through Resolution No. 08-D, Series of 2018.
 
The amendment of Republic Act 10597 by Republic Act 11005 on March 27, converting Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) to Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) as authored by Congressman Raul “Boboy” C. Tupas.
 
The BEEd undergoes 1st Survey Visit.
 
COPC 56 s. 2018 was issued by the Commission on Higher Education to BS Criminology program for AY 2018-19 to 2019-2020.
 
Global Group certified the Quality Management System of NIPSC for the design and development of educational services as well as the Research, Extension including all Administrative Services.
2019

Dr. Alma R. Defacto, the Vice President for Academic Affairs was appointed OIC College President.
 
The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Physical Science was renamed to Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science and Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management to Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management through BOT Resolution No. 53, series of 2019.
 
NIPSC Ajuy undergoes a Surveillance Audit of NIPSC Quality Management System for the design and development of educational services as well as the Research, Extension including all Administrative Services.
 
The Bureau of Immigration (BOI) granted NIPSC Ajuy Campus authority to accept foreign students through AAPS No. JHM 2019-T499.
2020
The BS Entrep and BS Crim undergo 3rd Survey Visit Phase I through Online Accreditation.
2021
The BS Criminology program received its Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) issued by the Commission on Higher Education (COPC # 54).
 
Dr. Bobby Dioquino Gerardo was elected and installed as the 5th College President.
 
The BEEd undergo 2nd Survey Visit through Online Accreditation.
 
GCL International re-certified the Quality Management System of NIPSC for the design and development of educational services for Programs approved by the Commission on Higher Education as well as, as well as the Research, Extension including all Administrative Services.
 
All programs underwent monitoring and evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to ensure compliance with key result areas, in accordance with the provisions of their respective CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) and other pertinent CHED directives.
2022
On February 7, 2022, Northern Iloilo State Polytechnic College (NISPC) underwent a thorough evaluation by the CHED Composite Team through a Remote Validation process. This was conducted in the presence of CHEDRO6 Regional Director, Dr. Raul Alvarez Jr., and Congressman Mark Go, Chairperson of the Committee on Higher and Technical Education.
 
The Commission on Higher Education approved the conversion of Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) to Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) through Commission En Banc Resolution No. 222-2022, dated April 26, 2022. As a result, the Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College Ajuy Campus will henceforth be known as Northern Iloilo State University - Ajuy Campus.
 
The installation of Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo as the 1st University President.
 
The BS Entrep undergoes the 3rd Survey Visit Phase 2 while the  BS Criminology undergoes resurvey in some areas.
2023
On January 3, Dr. Francis Blancaver Gasapo was installed as the 2nd Campus Administrator.
 
The BS Criminology, BSEd and BSHM undergo 3rd Survey Visit Phase 2.
 
NISU Ajuy celebrated its Diamond Jubilee (75th Founding Anniversary).
2024
On May 29, 2024, NISU Ajuy Campus received the Model Implementer Award from the Commission on Higher Education Region VI (CHEDRO VI) for its timeliness, completeness, and accuracy in submitting data to the CHEDRO VI Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS).
 
NISU Ajuy Campus has been recognized as one of the high-performing schools in Western Visayas for the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) in both the Secondary and Elementary categories.
 
On July 21, 2024, Dr. Lebni Terenife Bernardino was installed as the 3rd Campus Administrator.
 

           The Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Ajuy Campus ensures that its administrative, instructional, research, and extension services consistently comply with national and international statutory, regulatory, and quality standards. Committed to achieving the highest level of clientele satisfaction, the university also strives for the continuous improvement of its management systems.

          Its vast land area of 8.005 hectares is allocated for instruction, production, and recreation, together with the 121 strong faculty and staff who manage the program and activities of the Campus through the leadership of Dr. Lebni T. Bernardino Jr. as Campus Administrator and with the unending support of the first University President Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo, this Campus is happy to serve the students of Ajuy and of the neighboring towns.
