NISU continues to open tracks for the Intercampus Sports Meet 2024, fosters a spirit of camaraderie
Now on its third day, this year’s Northern Iloilo State University's (NISU) Intercampus Sports Meet continued to showcase a friendly spirit of sportsmanship and athleticism among different athletes of its seven campuses.
During the opening program held last November 5, it was highlighted that the event aimed to inspire students to engage in friendly competition while fostering mental resilience and physical fitness.
Dr. Joey S. Dela Cruz, Campus Administrator of NISU Concepcion, expressed his pride in hosting this year's university-wide event and underscored the campus's commitment to NISU’s mission of holistic student development.
“It brings me immense pride to see many talented athletes, dedicated coaches, supportive faculty and staff, and enthusiastic students gathered here today, not to compete but to celebrate our shared passion to connect with one another and to honor the spirit of camaraderie,” said Dr. Dela Cruz.
Meanwhile, Bobby D. Gerardo, University President, who formally opened the event, showed his gratitude to all the main contributors, including the faculty and staff and students who exerted efforts for the success of the said occasion.
To end on November 8, the Intercampus Sports Meet is expected to embody NISU's commitment to developing well-rounded students by promoting teamwork, leadership, and a sense of community.
