NISU joins 126th Philippine Independence Day Celebration
To show alliance and unity for the country's independence, faculty and staff of Northern Iloilo State University joined the municipal celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day Celebration at the Municipal Plaza today.
The event was attended by the Local Government Unit of Estancia together with NISU, Department of Education schools, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, and Public Attorney’s Office.
Dr. Gerardo also highlighted that all academic institutions and public services have the responsibility to preserve the gift of independence.
NISU’s participation symbolizes its commitment not just for academic excellence but also extends its reach to fostering patriotism, civic responsibility, national pride, and a sense of community.
This year’s Independence Day celebration is anchored with the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan”.
