Northern Iloilo State University Joins CHED's 32nd Anniversary Celebration, Showcasing the "Different Faces of Our Achieve Students"

Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) proudly joins the nationwide month-long celebration of the 32nd Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), reaffirming its commitment to inclusive, accessible, and transformative higher education for all Filipino learners.

As part of this milestone observance, NISU actively supports CHED’s unified advocacy campaign, “Different Faces of Our Achieve Students,” which highlights the diverse stories, experiences, and achievements of students who continue to overcome challenges in pursuit of quality education.

The campaign encourages State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the country to adopt official Facebook profile picture frames throughout the celebration month, showcasing various student sectors that represent the breadth and inclusivity of Philippine higher education.

Through this initiative, NISU celebrates the resilience, determination, and success of students from different backgrounds, including:
🔹 First-Generation Students
🔹 Students with Disabilities (PWDs)
🔹 Indigenous Peoples (IPs)
🔹 Solo Parent Students
🔹 Working Students
🔹 Student Parents and Learners with Caregiving Responsibilities
🔹 Financially Challenged Students
🔹 Student Leaders and Volunteers

For more than three decades, CHED has remained at the forefront of advancing higher education in the Philippines, fostering policies and programs that promote access, equity, quality, and global competitiveness.

NISU stands united with CHED in honoring these “Different Faces of Our Achieve Students,” recognizing that every learner’s journey is unique and every success story contributes to nation-building. Through this campaign, the University highlights the strength found in diversity and the importance of ensuring that higher education remains accessible to all sectors of society.
