NISU extension services holds Free Theoretical Driving Course

The Office of the Extension Services conducted a Free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) at the Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Main Campus Mini Theatre from May 28 to 29.
The activity aimed to provide students with free access to the mandatory theoretical driving course required for obtaining a Student Driver’s Permit from the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Students participated in discussions on Traffic Laws and Regulations, Road Signs and Markings, Introduction to Land Transportation under Republic Act 4136 and Republic Act 10930, and other topics related to road safety and responsible driving.

Additionally, the initiative seeks to strengthen students’ awareness of proper road courtesy and safety practices, particularly among those who use motorcycles and other vehicles as their primary mode of transportation to school.
The program also aims to help students comply with the educational requirements needed in applying for a student driver’s license while promoting responsible and disciplined driving behavior.
Moreover, the Free Theoretical Driving Course forms part of the university’s extension initiatives that provide accessible community-oriented services and practical learning opportunities for students.
