NISU strengthens global competitiveness through SEA Teacher Exchange program

 

 

In a meaningful partnership with Universitas Kristen Indonesia through the SEA Teacher Exchange Program, Northern Iloilo State University’s College of Education students and faculty officially welcomed the SEA Teacher Project Batch 11 at the NISU Mini Theater, October 20.
 
The program highlighted the university’s friendship and solidarity between the Philippines and Indonesia through education collaboration.
 
Present during the event were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Gilda Evangelista Deguma, Communications and International Collaborations Director Dr. Mary Jean S. Zaldarriaga, Dean of the College of Education Dr. Maria Xerxa Doan Billones-Franco, Program Chairs, and faculty members of the college. Moreover, fourth- and third-year students also attended the opening ceremony.

 
The SEA Teachers will conduct their 30-day observation and internship at NISU Estancia and Ajuy Campuses, where they will be assigned to different elementary and high schools.
 
In their speeches, Kezia Gloria, Jordan Angelo Gijantoro, and Jordan Luziano expressed their excitement to collaborate with the Filipinos, especially in the field of education and guidance and counseling.
 
After their speeches, the SEA Exchange Teachers delivered a presentation, showcasing Indonesian traditional dances, songs, and games.
 
This afternoon, the SEA Teachers conducted their campus tour, where they observed how the Teacher Education Department holds its classes and socialized with various students.
 
The program reflects the university’s thrust to strengthen international collaboration, enhance global competitiveness, and promote cultural understanding between nations.
