Northern Iloilo State University Makes History with First Official Trademark!

 

 

Estancia, Iloilo – Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) proudly announces a landmark achievement: the official trademark registration of its Office of the Research and Development Services logo! This significant milestone marks the first time a logo from NISU has been officially trademarked, solidifying the university's commitment to protecting its intellectual property and recognizing the vital role of research and development.

This momentous accomplishment was achieved under the dedicated leadership of Dr. Felipe P. Vista IV, University Director, Research and Development Services, Dr. Carlo Intila, University Director, Knowledge Management Innovation, and Technology Transfer (KMITT), and Dr. Larry B. Deysolong, Vice President for Research and Extension. Their vision and guidance were instrumental in bringing this initiative to fruition.

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) officially processed the application on July 30, 2025, at 5:24 PM. The eFiling Number is EFPH202500003402170, and the Application No. is 42025520797.

The trademarked logo, a symbol of innovation and academic excellence, represents the dedication and hard work of the entire NISU community.
 

The application was filed by Northern Iloilo State University - Research & Development Office, with Dr. Rosalie Grace S. Dela Cruz, the Chairperson of the Industrial Property Registry of KMITT and the concurrent Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, facilitating this successful registration.

This achievement is a testament to NISU's growing prominence in the academic and research landscape. The official trademarking of the Office of the Research and Development Services logo will help safeguard its unique identity and ensure its recognition for years to come.
