NISU Embarks on Strategic Transformation: University President Issues Memorandum for New Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles and Strategic Objectives

 

 

𝘕𝘐𝘚𝘜 𝘔𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴, 𝘌𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢, 𝘐𝘭𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘰 - In a landmark move towards institutional transformation, the Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) has officially adopted its new 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 through 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟑𝟒, 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, issued by the Office of the University President. This significant directive is pursuant to Board of Regents (BOR) Resolution No. 158, Series of 2025, chaired by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Dr. Ethel Agnes P. Valenzuela.
 
Effective immediately, the memorandum mandates all NISU campuses, colleges, and support units to implement key actions to embed the newly adopted institutional framework in all aspects of university operations. The move signals a strategic shift aimed at strengthening academic excellence, institutional integrity, and stakeholder engagement.
 
As outlined in the memorandum, all units are instructed to:
1. Disseminate and prominently display the new Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles, and Strategic Objectives in physical and digital formats across strategic areas including offices, bulletin boards, university websites, and social media platforms.
2. Align all institutional plans, programs, projects, and activities (PPPAs) with the updated strategic directions.
3. Conduct orientations and awareness campaigns to ensure that all faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders understand and embrace the new institutional framework.
4. Integrate the new institutional statements in all official documents, communications, and publications.
5. Implement regular monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure coherence with the revised strategic objectives.
 
NISU President Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader commitment to quality, relevance, and innovation in higher education.
