A Collaborative Research Project of CFAS, Main Campus, successfully secured financial assistance from CHED
The Northern Iloilo State University has secured financial support from CHED to revitalize the declining pen shell industry in the northern Panay, Philippines.
NISU has proudly entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to launch an innovative research project titled “Towards a sustainable and integrated pen shell fishery in northern Panay, Philippines” with a funding of P9,889,720.00.
This project, led by Dr. Cheryl B. Jela, is a collaborative effort that involves researchers from the University of the Philippines Visayas and Capiz State University. This initiative aims to bring significant advancements to the pen shell industry in northern Panay, showcasing a strong commitment to innovation and excellence.
